June 15, 2015

A Natick developer hopes to transform a downtown lot that once housed a hardware store into a five-story building containing commercial space and housing.

The Carr family hopes to redevelop the former Hometown Paint and Hardware property at 23-31 South Main Street, adjacent to Natick Town Common.

The new building would include about 4,000 square feet of commercial space on the first floor and 32 two-bedroom and seven one-bedroom apartments on upper floors, according to the developer’s application to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
