Long before Alanis and Jewel, there was a breed of singer/songwriters whose earthly anthems of soul-searching, heartache and joy touched souls in a way few can muster today. When Karla’s self-titled first album was released in 1977, she was in her early 20s and already a veteran of the Southern California music scene. Karla is the composer of a string of hits for Linda Ronstadt including the classic “Someone To Lay Down Beside Me.”

Check out Karla on the new release "Looking Into You: A Tribute To Jackson Browne," which features Karla along with fellow artists Don Henley, Bonnie Raitt, Indigo Girls, David Lindley, Lyle Lovett, Keb Mo, Lucinda Williams, Shawn Colvin, Bruce Springsteen and many more covering Jackson Browne's iconic songs.
