Jodi Heights - Album Release

From America’s historic city of Boston, Jodi Heights is hooking listeners with her supple, Broadway tinged voice and rockin’ piano chops. Fans describe her as “Fiona Apple meets Regina Spektor” and her songs as “poetically crafted and authentic.”In the sea of singer-songwriters, Jodi stands out with her classically honed technique and her brilliant lyrics that plumb the depths of everyday life, ranging from cheeky to heartbreaking. Jodi sings life unexpected.

Jodi's debut album, One Year Wiser, showcases her prowess as a songwriter and musician. She chose the lineup on this 5-song EP by having her fans vote for which songs they wanted to hear . Recorded at local studio Plaid Dog Recording with engineer Mike Davidson, the album features some of Boston's most versatile local artists. One Year Wiser was mixed by the Grammy winning engineer Erich Talaba (Sara Bareilles - What's Inside: Songs from Waitress, Kaleidoscope Heart) and was mastered by six-time Grammy winning engineer Adam Ayan (Sarah McLachlan - Wonderland, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, Mirrorball, Laws of Illusion).


Florie Namir is a jazz-pop artist who fuses pre-war American vocal jazz with old-school pop (Beatles, Elton John, etc.). Namir’s songs are sophisticated yet always accessible. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Florie received her PhD in Classical Composition and traveled the world as a classical composer before transitioning to original songwriting. A photographer and artist, she brings a penchant for capturing snapshots of experiences to her music, describing every day life in a quirky way. Florie has performed at the Boston Jewish Music Festival (2015), the Mondo.NYC Festival (2016), and has opened for Ruby Rose Fox at Brighton Music Hall (2017). Florie's first studio record, “Memorialist,” will be released in May 2018.
